This mesh shoe storage bag is a very handy. It's advertised for hiking, but I actually got it for travel. I'm a pack light kind of person who often only brings a carry on if its a quick trip. Shoes take up so much room in a bag if you have limited space, and clipping them on the outside like this is a great alternative. I know not all airlines will allow it, but I haven't had an issue thus far. I can also pack an extra pair of shoes when driving to travel without worrying about them stinking up my luggage. I got the size M and they easily fit my size 8 women's sneakers.
